"Moonlight" is really hard to talk about for a number of reasons. This one is really for my people in the midst of a struggle with addiction, whether it's you personally or a loved one whose battle takes its wear on you by proxy. Having survived drug addiction and near overdose, yet watching so many of your friends and loved ones continue to die, leaves a survivors guilt and a pain that can be indescribable at times. I didn't understand what was available to me or who would be available to me when I was working to get myself off drugs, I just recognized the shame I had and the guilt I felt, along with the anger I had for all those I alienated and in turn abandoned me. I want to be a catalyst for change if anyone needs an ear to discuss their problems with. You can fucking cry with me, I will help you find a way to carry this pain into a paradise of your own creation until the days are done.
